"Why should people get to see plans? This isn't a public project."
Bruce Ratner in Crain's Nov. 8, 2009

A Ratner's Gallery of Cronies, Friends, Partners, Fixers and Shrill Supporters

Yesterday marked the latest indictment of Forest City Ratner cronies, partners and strident Atlantic Yards supporters/operatives. Here's the tally:

BONUS (not corruption, but not good):
  • He who feels no sense of disgrace James Stuckey, who has now moved on to Florida, the former Atlantic Yards head honcho and Forest City Ratner Executive VP who is currently being sued by a former NYU employee for sexual harassment. Stuckey (or James P. Stuckey as it were) was hired by NYU to be a dean, partly based on Bruce Ratner's recommendation despite the allegation that Stuckey was forcibly resigned by the developer after sexual harassment claims were made against him.

  • James Caldwell, his group B.U.I.L.D. which partnered with Ratner and is fully funded by Ratner, and Forest City Ratner are currently being sued in federal court by seven plaintiffs who allege that B.U.I.L.D. and Ratner broke contractual promises to provide union cards and on-site jobs after completing an extensive training program. The suit also alleges unpaid wages and a "sham" training program.
