In the February 26, 2008 NY Observer
Forest
City Ratner spokesman Loren Reigelhaupt said:
“When it comes to sharing information with the public and
governmental bodies, there’s no such thing as too much, as far as we are concerned."
Today WNYC's Matthew
Schuerman filed a report on the status of the halted Atlantic Yards project and
the impact of the work stoppage on various stakeholders, but not all
stakeholders:
...Forest City Ratner maintains it will break ground this calendar
year, but the company would not make any executives available for an
interview. Nor would the Empire State Development Corporation,
the state agency sponsoring this project.
And
Rich Calder has an article in today's New York Post about Ratner's
attempt to rip-off the MTA and strapahangers through renegotiating his lowball
bid for the Vanderbilt Rail Yard. What did Ratner have to say about this?
...The MTA declined to discuss the talks. Ratner spokesman
Joe DePlasco said the developer is "committed to doing" the rail-yard
work, but he declined to discuss the effect of shaving costs on the
finished product.
